A Little About Me
I’m Melinda York and I first began freelancing web design in 1997 while majoring in Computer Information Systems in college. I decided to teach myself HTML and JavaScript, this was back in the day when Notepad was the preferred HTML editor.
- In 1998, I started my own company, Elite Web Designs.
- In 1999 I began a career in the IT department at a large company in Cincinnati, Ohio. My web design business took a back seat. I did however take on a few clients through the years and maintained several sites.
- After an 11 year career in corporate America, I decided to quit my job and do freelancing exclusively. This would also make me more accessible for my new position as a Mom.
New technology and web services are my passions. I have re-branded my business as York Web Services. I am launching many new services such as Content Management System sites that give clients the ability to update their own content.
With 13 years of experience in web design and services, I have the knowledge to help add value to any business. I enjoy working with all types of clients and creating web sites.
